Harnessing Intentional Karma
Every thought you're having right now is affecting the karma of your future.
I know that sounds big. But I mean it literally.
I was walking in Manhattan in 2005 — brand new Italian designer boots, just wandering for hours through Midtown, picking up the energy of the city without even knowing that's what I was doing. I got home, put my key in the door of my walkup apartment, walked into the mailbox area — and in that instant I had the most crystalline thought I'd ever had:
Every thought I'm having is affecting the karma of my future.
I never told anyone that story. Not once. Until now.
That moment was my first real glimpse of what core energetics actually means.
What core energetics is and why it's the convergence point of all healing
Core energetics is the convergence point. It's where the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual pillars all come together — and what emerges from that intersection is your frequency. Your vibe. The energy you're broadcasting into every room before you even open your mouth.
Think of it like a radio station. Your core energy is the song — it's innate, it's yours, it came with you into this life. But the volume and clarity? That's what we're working with. That's what goes up or down depending on how well you're tending to your four pillars.
When you're neglecting your body, your mind, your emotions, your spiritual life — the station gets static. People around you feel it before you even realize it's happening. The signal gets muddy. The message doesn't land. Opportunities don't come in.
And here's the hard truth: that signal extends out from you way before you can track it.
Why there's a transition period between doing the work and seeing results
This is why manifestation as it's being sold right now drives me absolutely crazy.
You cannot just step into alignment after years of operating in misalignment and expect everything to immediately shift. You can't walk out of hell and straight into God's gates. There's a transition period. There's a gap between doing the work and seeing the work reflected back to you.
So you do it anyway. When no one is watching. When no one is clapping. When the results aren't visible yet.
You work out. You do the mindset work. You do the emotional healing. You tend to your spiritual life. And slowly — slowly — the frequency clears. The signal gets stronger. People start becoming more receptive to who you are and what you're about. Opportunities start appearing that were always there — you just weren't vibrating at a level to see them.
That's core energetics in motion.
What hypervigilance is doing to your energy — and how to get out of it
I want to talk about something that doesn't get enough airtime: hypervigilance.
That stress response of needing to control everything. Monitoring every moving piece. Trying to puppet master the show from some satellite position way outside your own body. Someone taps you on the shoulder and you nearly jump out of your skin. You see a bug out of the corner of your eye and scream way louder than you intended to.
That's not a personality quirk. That's a dysregulated nervous system. That's a core energetics problem.
I had a guy at work once do an impression of how I responded to things — basically mimicking me being constantly on edge — and my first reaction was what a dick. My second reaction was thank you. I needed to see that.
Because when we're operating from hypervigilance — we are not in our bodies. We are not in the moment. We are not driving from clarity. We're reacting. We're scrambling. We're controlling from fear instead of leading from groundedness.
The antidote is always the same: come back to the breath. Come back to the body. Ground into the earth. Make your next decision from there — not from Mars.
How karma actually works — and why it's about frequency not punishment
Here's how I actually think about karma.
When you clean up your physical body — your frequency changes. When you clean up your mental body — your frequency changes. When you process your emotional body — your frequency changes. When you harness your spiritual body — your frequency lifts.
And when your frequency lifts? Your karma changes.
Not because the universe is rewarding you. But because you are now vibrating at a level where different things are possible. Different people find you. Different doors become visible. Different versions of your future open up.
You clean up the inside — and the outside starts to reflect it.
That's intentional karma. Not something that happens to you. Something you participate in building every single day through how you care for yourself across all four pillars.
How to start harnessing intentional karma — practical steps
Every thought you're having right now is affecting the karma of your future. Make them count.
Ask yourself honestly: is my station coming in clear right now? What's creating the static?
Where are you hypervigilant? Where are you controlling from fear instead of leading from groundedness?
Identify which pillar needs the most attention right now — physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual — and make one deposit today.
The next time you're overwhelmed — don't try to fix everything. Just breathe. Come back to the body. Make the next right move from there.
Remember: the work you do when nobody's watching is the work that changes your frequency. Do it anyway.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is core energetics and how does it work?
Core energetics is the convergence of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health into a single unified frequency — the energy you broadcast into the world before you say a single word. It's based on the understanding that each pillar affects the others, and that the quality of your overall energy — your signal — is determined by how well you're tending to all four. When one pillar is neglected, the whole signal gets static. When all four are tended to consistently, the frequency clears and your life begins to reflect it.
What is intentional karma and how is it different from traditional karma?
Traditional karma is often understood as a cosmic accounting system — good actions rewarded, bad ones punished, often across lifetimes. Intentional karma reframes this as something you actively participate in building right now through the quality of your thoughts, energy, and choices. Every time you clean up a pillar — physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually — your frequency shifts. And as your frequency shifts, different opportunities, people, and possibilities become available to you. It's not reward and punishment. It's resonance.
What is hypervigilance and how does it affect your energy?
Hypervigilance is a chronic state of threat-monitoring — the nervous system stuck in high alert, scanning constantly for danger even when none exists. It shows up as being easily startled, needing to control every variable, difficulty relaxing, and reactivity that feels disproportionate to the situation. Energetically, hypervigilance pulls you out of your body and into a satellite position of anxious oversight. It is the opposite of flow, the opposite of groundedness, and a significant drain on your core frequency. Healing it requires nervous system regulation — breath, body, grounding — not more control.
Why doesn't manifestation work on its own without doing the inner work?
Manifestation as it's commonly taught focuses on desire and belief — but skips the gap between where you are energetically and where you want to be. If you've been operating in misalignment for years, your frequency doesn't shift overnight because you set an intention. There's a transition period — sometimes a long one — where the work has to be done quietly, without visible results, before the signal clears enough to attract what you're calling in. Manifestation works. But it works in conjunction with all four pillars, not instead of them.
How do your thoughts affect your karma and your future?
Every thought generates an energetic frequency — and that frequency influences what you attract, how people respond to you, and what opportunities become visible to you. Negative, fearful, or contracted thinking keeps your frequency low and your signal muddy. Intentional, clear, grounded thinking raises your frequency and clears the signal. This isn't abstract — it's the practical mechanics of how energy works. Cleaning up the quality of your thoughts is one of the most direct ways to begin shifting your karma intentionally.
